"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

Have you ever heard the saying 'the devils in the detail' and from my perception that's where excellence lives too.

Conrad Hilton founder of Hilton Hotels is known for being a stickler when it comes to detail. He would make regular announced visits to one of his hotels to check things out and if there was as much as one light bulb burnt out in the lobby, he would check himself into that hotel for an extra three days.

The reason being if the staff had missed that detail what else might be amiss in the hotel. He clearly understood that small things are what determine that level of excellence and overall quality of the organisation.

People often fail to realise just how important attention to detail is both in business and personal life.

One Tip for Success
Passion is the engine of success.

One Tip for Reputation
Your reputation rides on the quality of your work.

One Tip on How to Deal with Fear
Look at your fear as the fertilizer for your current and future growth and embrace it now.

One Tip on Handling Difficult Situations
Grab a paper and pen, write down all the difficult situations you are currently avoiding and decide today to take action one at a time.

Thought Provoker of the Month
Can you experience failure and still retain the self-confidence necessary to seek success?

One Tip on Trust
"If people like you they'll listen to you; but if they trust you they'll do business with you." - Zig Ziglar

One Tip on Living an Authentic Life
Live your life on your own terms and not through someone else.

One Tip on Gentleness
Gentleness is a mark of courage, being gentle is an inside job.

One Tip on How to Handle Gossip
Don't give it any oxygen by replying to it.

One Tip on Blame
When you blame someone else in life, you give them your power.

One Tip on False Clarity
False clarity is what you get when you think you have arrived.

So for the month of February pay attention to detail and teach yourself to sweat the small stuff, build your team and the business on quality. Know that gentleness is not soft, it is a mark of courage and that in life there are no shortcuts to any place worth going.
